Every item needs context
An item record is more useful when it identifies where the item comes from and what other entities it connects to. For Forever, avoid silently copying Classic-era data when the Forever source is not confirmed.
Recommended item record
- Item name and type.
- Confirmed source: quest, boss, profession, vendor or other source.
- Related dungeon, raid, boss or recipe when confirmed.
- Equipment slot and relevant attributes when officially documented.
- Source date and confidence when information is provisional.
Loot tables
Do not estimate boss drop rates. A missing rate should remain unknown until an individual source supports it.
